A destination in itself, Estancia Cristina offers a unique opportunity to stay within Los Glaciares National Park. The lodge is the only property with a land-based look-out point to the Upsala Glacier. Estancia Cristina’s territory covers thousands of acres, featuring glaciers, mountains, lakes, rivers, refuges, trails, canyons, valleys, and forests.

This historic sheep ranch was founded by the Percival Masters family in 1914 on the northwestern shore of Lago Argentino. Nowadays, the lodge offers 20 rooms distributed in five Casas.

NOTES:

The only way to get to Estancia Cristina is by boat. Estancia Cristina’s fleet includes an 82-foot catamaran for 189 passengers and a 68-foot catamaran for 63 passengers. Shared navigation with other passengers is included at set times for hotel guests. Navigation time is approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Day trips are available with departures and returns from Puerto Punta Bandera in El Calafate.
