One of South America’s great classic hotels, Belmond Hotel das Cataratas enjoys a privileged position directly in front of Iguacu Falls. This is the only hotel within Brazil’s Iguacu National Park. The trailhead to the falls is located just outside the hotel’s entrance.
First opened in 1958, the hotel is designed in in the manner of a grand Portuguese colonial hacienda. Belmond assumed management of the hotel in 2007 and spent almost three years on a complete restoration and upgrade program. The results are stunning–a tropical palace in an unmatched natural setting.

Rooms feature large windows, marble bathrooms, paintings of local flora and fauna, and azulejos--traditional painted tiles.

Ranging in size from 258 to 312 square feet, guest rooms are furnished with either a queen-size bed or two twin-size beds. All rooms feature a mini-bar, personalized on request, and flat-screen television.
Belmond das Cataratas offers three room categories: Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Deluxe Falls View Rooms.
Junior Suites
Measuring approximately 376 square feet, Junior Suites are furnished with either a king-size bed or two twin-size beds. Each Junior Suite features a mini-bar (personalized on request), a living room, and large flat-screen television.
