Chaa Creek located on the Macal River, in the Maya Mountains of western Belize. This is one of our favorite places to stay in Belize.
Created by Lucy and Mick Fleming in 1981, Chaa Creek is one of Central America’s pioneering eco-resorts. Around the lodge grounds and gardens, 400 acres of protected jungle are yours to explore.
Chaa Creek has a wide selection of rooms, suites, and villas—something for everyone. Although the collection of residences has evolved over the lodge’s history, each habitation is equipped with comfortable furnishings, cotton linens and bedding, a security box, coffee makers, hammock, bathrobes, slippers, and hairdryer.
Most guest rooms at Chaa Creek–such as the original cottages–do not have air conditioning or television, but most of the upper-category residences–suites and villas–do have those conveniences.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, but is strongest in the common areas, such the restaurant and pool zones.
