Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica

Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica sits deep in the Peruvian Amazon, on the banks of the Madre de Dios River, adjacent to Tambopata National Reserve, and within a 42,000-acre private ecological reserve. Its design draws inspiration from the Ese’Eja culture: 35 raised wooden cabanas with thatched palm roofs, wide screened verandas, high ceilings, and raw local materials that breathe with the jungle. The lodge is owned and operated by Inkaterra, a Peruvian eco-tourism company founded by José Koechlin, whose ethos is rooted in sustainable design, biodiversity conservation, and conveying the Amazon’s natural richness.
