Remota

Remota is a full-service lodge located on 12 acres of rolling steppe just outside the town of Puerto Natales, Chile. Although close enough to enjoy dinner in town, Remota also allows guests feel the silence and stillness of Patagonia.

Remota’s location in far southern Chilean Patagonia offers guests access to the stunning Torres del Paine region and to less-visited areas near the Chilean coast.

The lodge was Remota designed by National Prize of Architecture winner, Germán del Sol, known for his sustainable designs that fold into the landscape.

The use of motors and pumps has been minimized, reducing mechanical voices and providing a greater sense of serenity.

Location

Remota is located on the Ultima Esperanza Sound, 5-minutes by road from the town of Puerto Natales and its airport (PNT). The hotel is 2.5 hours by road from Punta Arenas airport (PUQ), which offers many more flights to other parts of Chile, and serves as a base for air travel to Antarctica.  Guests at Remota can also cross the border to Argentina, reaching the town of El Calafate in about four hours (plus border crossing time).

Torres del Paine National Park (2 hours away) is a regional highlight, famous for its hiking trails, glacial lakes, roaring waterfalls, southern beech forests, and abundant wildlife.
