The Llao Llao (pronounced shao-shao) is an icon of Argentine Patagonia, long favored by generations of Argentines. Perched on a peninsula between Lakes Nahuel Huapi and Moreno, the hotel commands sweeping views of the Andean peaks. Designed in 1940 by painter-architect Alejandro Bustillo, the structure blends stone, wood, and alerce tile. After a major restoration in the 1990s and expansion in 2007, it became a member of Leading Hotels of the World.

Notes:

The original lodge—now known as the Bustillo Building—was completed in 1939. The modern Moreno Wing has a more contemporary finish, with black-and-white landscape prints by Diego Ortiz Mugica. The Moreno Wing is connected to the Bustillo Building by an enclosed, panoramic bridge. It offers a separate restaurant and check-in area. Although all rooms are equipped with an excellent heating system, some rooms in the Bustillo Building may not have air conditioning. Connecting-room configuration is available if requested in advance. Inclusions and amenities are subject to change without prior notice. Activities may come at an additional cost. Room sizes shown above are approximate.
