Gastronomic Highlight
Located just six miles from the evergreen town of Boquete, Finca Lerida rests on the slope of cloud-forested mountain. In 1924, Toleff Mönniche, a Norwegian engineer who participated in the design and construction of the Panama Canal locks, moved to Finca Lerida with his wife Julia. Here he hand-built the main house in a Norwegian countryside style, and built the first gravity-flow coffee plantation in Panama.
