Hacienda Bambusa

Hacienda Bambusa is the private ranch house of artist Santiago Montoya. The 250-acre estate surrounding the main house is planted with citrus, cacao, ginger, pineapple, and bamboo.

The main house has a sundeck and swimming pool. Meals are served al fresco. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

The hacienda is located in Quindío, Colombia’s coffee region. Nestled in the Cordillera de los Andes, it is built out of bamboo and clay and is surrounded by trees, gardens and crops.

The hotel’s 8 rooms overlook the pool or hotel gardens with either a private balcony or terrace. They also have a living room and hammock.

The Superior King room is located on the first floor and is 430 square feet. The room features a balcony and King or 2 Twin beds. This room faces the swimming pool.

Standard Room

This room is located on the first floor and is 290 square feet. It features a terrace, 2 rooms with a King size bed and 1 room with a King or 2 Twin beds. It faces the hotel’s garden.

These rooms are located on the first floor and are 290 square feet each. There are 2 rooms with a King size bed or 1 room with a King size bed and 1 room with 2 Twin beds. The rooms face the hotel’s garden.

Activities

Guests have a menu of activities available within the property. They can mountain bike, go bird watching, riding, hot-air balloon, paragliding, visit botanical gardens, and rafting.

Other experiences include private cacao workshops, coffee tours, visiting coffee farms in Pijao, milking cows, and cooking classes with a Bambusa chef.
