Reserva do Ibitipoca

Reserva do Ibitipoca

Reserva do Ibitipoca is set in the lush southern mountains of Brazil’s Minas Gerais state, about an hour by air from São Paulo or Rio by private charter. The property is surrounded by pastures, sierra, and rare Atlantic Rainforest–all part of a 9,800-acre private reserve.

The main building, Fazenda do Engenho, was originally a farmhouse established in 1715. Reconstructed in 2006, the house now includes eight spacious suites, a library, dining room, and al fresco bar.

Neighboring buildings contain the spa, yoga studio, sauna, and hydro-massage pool. Organic gardens, pasture, and a mirror-smooth pond frame the estate.

Each suite has towel and floor heating in bathrooms, and is decorated with local handcrafts craftsmanship.
