Refugia Chiloe

Refugia Chiloe is located on the eastern coast of Chiloe Island, near the town of Dalcahue.

Clad in local wood, the starkly stylish lodge evokes the ships and houses of traditional Chiloe. Inside, the light-filled spaces are warmed by hearths, cypress wood, and local textiles.

The full board program of two or more nights includes: group-basis guided touring (maximum 8 guests per group; more than 25 explorations), three meals daily, open bar with select beverages, and group-basis transportation to and from the airports of Castro or Puerto Montt.

Exploring Chiloe

On the island of Chiloe, visitors can bike, hike, horse back ride, and kayak their way around the island.

Fishing excursions in Chiloe take place in the most beautiful part of the archipelago and are designed for all types of fishermen.

The excursions take you to beaches, rivers and lakes in the southern part of Chiloé National Park (Huillinco-Cucao), where local guides who know the area accompany you.

In these surroundings of unparalleled beauty, you can enjoy lake and river-fishing of fario and brown trout (dominant species), rainbow trout and even saltwater fish such as red snapper and silver smelt.

Refugia Chiloe’s own boat, the Williche is locally hand-built, and allows guests to travel like locals and appreciate the islands, shores, waters and sea life. Seafood can be caught, prepared, and served onboard, including sea urchins and Chilean oysters, freshly shucked.
