The Singular: Patagonian Luxury
Opened in 2011, The Singular is the finest hotel in all of Chilean Patagonia. The hotel is set within a restored national landmark—a museum-quality cold-storage plant dating to 1915. The Singular’s architecture artfully merges historic elements with modern touches.
“Curiosity is, in great and generous minds, the first passion and the last.”
The Singular offers 54 spacious rooms (averaging 500 square feet) and 3 luxury suites with 861 square feet of living space and separate living rooms. All guest rooms feature panoramic views of the Patagonian Fjords, spacious bathrooms, large beds, satellite television, and minibars. Hotel amenities include a heated swimming pool, spa, restaurant, bar, and meeting room.
Unlike some lodges in the Torres del Paine region, guests at the Singular are free to come and go for the length of stay they choose, without the dictates of set arrival and departure.
The Singular also offers bed & breakfast, half-board, and full-board options that include tours and excursions with expert English-speaking guides.
Multi-generational families especially welcome this flexibility—those who’d like to relax are free to do so, while other members of the family can hike, kayak, ride, and explore to their hearts’ content.
Diverse Exploration Options
The Singular offers its guests a complete menu of full and half-day explorations.
Hiking, biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and kayaking excursions are each available for a range of ability levels.
The Singular also offers the region’s best day cruises to the Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers.
Among the most popular full-day option are excursions to the Torres del Paine National Park (2.5 hours by land from The Singular).
Patagonian Cuisine and Fine Chilean Wines
Throughout your stay, you’ll enjoy the best Patagonian cuisine, from fresh seafood to locally raised vegetables and lamb. Meals are complimented with fine Chilean wines.
The Singular is located in Porto Bories, just outside the city of Puerto Natales, 153 miles (2.5 hours) northwest of Punta Arenas.
Guests arrive by private transfer or hotel shuttle. Daily flights from Santiago reach Punta Arenas in 3.5 hours.
Visits to Argentina: Los Glaciares and Beyond
Visitors can also cross the international border into Argentina by land near Cerro Castillo, exploring the Los Glaciares National Park along the way.
Los Glaciares is home to the Perito Moreno glacier and various other wonders of the southern ice fields.
